Texas Outpaces All Other 49 States Combined in New Jobs
Cyber Command, like many other new job creators, chose Texas for the new home of their command center and, according to a Wall St. Journal opinion piece and Governor Rick Perry, Texas has created more new jobs than all other 49 states combined.

In the WSJ piece entitled “Soak the Rich”, writers ARTHUR LAFFER and STEPHEN MOORE attribute the job creation growth to a favorable tax environment. Another startling assertion from the authors is that, according to data from Ohio University, over the past 10 years, 1100 people flee high tax states EVERY DAY (including Sundays) and relocate to lower tax states.

Billion dollar government contracting powerhouse US Investigation Services, Inc (USIS) got a little more powerful this week by acquiring the 700 person firm of Labat-Anderson of Falls Church. Bill Mixon, CEO and President of the Government Solutions Group, this acquisition “…will not only well serve Labat-Anderson’s current government customers, but will help us broaden the range of services we can deliver to our existing government customers…”.
