SRA International Inc. and CSC will partner to pursue the Federal Aviation Administration’s National Airspace System Integration Support Contract III. SRA intends to bid as a prime on NISC III, which will be awarded in early 2010, according to an announcement earlier today.
SRA President and Chief Executive Officer Stan Sloane commented, “SRA has a long-standing commitment to the FAA and aviation communities — and with CSC, we found a partner who shares our dedication for innovating air traffic management services and technologies.” Sloane added that CSC’s 35 years of experience in air traffic management “will be truly beneficial in helping the SRA team provide the FAA with not only a maximized investment, but a proven platform to realize their next-generation goals.”
SRA has over twenty years of support experience with the FAA in engineering and R&D services related to airport runway safety, airport planning and aircraft fire safety.
CSC’s mission-critical knowledge, depth of experience and innovative technology will accelerate FAA’s NextGen plan and deliver new operational capabilities and improvements for its safety, security and environmental performance, according to Tom Anderson, president of CSC’s North American Public Sector Civil and Government Health Services Group. He added “We believe that the combined strength of this team will offer the FAA a platform of service needed for a successful NISC III program.”
