Fortisphere has named Siki Giunta its President and CEO. Giunta will bring over 20 years of corporate guidance and enterprise IT management software experience to bear in order to accelerate Fortisphere’s growth and strategically guide its expansion in the rapidly expanding virtualization market.
Previously, Giunta served as president and CEO of Managed Objects, a business service management software provider acquired by Novell in November of 2008. Giunta led the company’s growth from a pre-revenue startup to a global company with more than 300 enterprise customers during her ten-year tenure. Following Managed Objects’ acquisition, Giunta worked in a strategic leadership capacity within Novell to define key partnerships, mergers and acquisitions and corporate strategy.
Giunta said of her new position, “I’m excited to join the talented Fortisphere management team. I was instantly impressed with the company’s level of customer support and look forward to accelerating our growth in the virtualization industry. Heightened demand for multi-hypervisor environments, better service and greater ROI from virtualization has created a market opportunity that Fortisphere Virtual Essentials™ Service Manager™ is ideally suited to address. I’m eager to help our expanding customer base maximize the returns from their virtualization investment and ease their transition to cloud computing.”
Paul Ciriello, managing partner, Fairhaven Capital Partners, said of Giunta’s appointment “We are thrilled that Siki has taken the reins of the company, bringing her impressive track record in the enterprise software market to bear on the second, much larger, wave of virtualization.” Dave Fachetti, managing director, Globespan Capital Partners, added “With Siki’s valuable insight, strong customer focus and service management experience, she is well positioned to lead Fortisphere as the company meets the virtualization market’s immediate and long-term need for improved service management solutions.”
