Today, USIS announced that it has named Patricia Davis-Muffett as vice president of marketing and strategy. In her new role, she will leverage her experience in new product development and launch, thought leadership initiatives, and deal-based marketing to further the USIS position in the government marketplace, as well as lead the corporate strategy team.
Davis-Muffett comes to USIS from Unisys, where she most recently served as vice president of government marketing. Among her major accomplishments was the launch of a new thought leadership and social media initiative, the Center for Innovation in Government. She also significantly increased Unisys Federal Systems` presence in the federal marketplace and developed an account-based and deal-based marketing program for major pursuits.
Davis-Muffett is a frequent speaker on topics related to marketing strategies, particularly in the federal arena. She has received numerous awards throughout her career, and finalist for the 2009 Women in Technology Leadership Award and winner in the 2008 GovMark Awards for Best Civilian Agency Campaign, as well as the 2003 American Marketing Association`s DC Marketer of the Year award for her new product introduction process.

Davis-Muffett has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Georgetown University; a Master of Fine Arts degree in Creative and Professional Writing from the University of Minnesota; and a Certificate in Strategic Marketing Management from the Harvard University Executive Education Program. She is both a certified Project Management Professional and an AMA Professional Certified Marketer.
