Steve Shane is Accenture’s public service managing director for North America. Shane began his career at Accenture 27 years ago working in the banking industry, where he consulted with some of the biggest brand name financial institutions in America. The past nine years, he has been working with the U.S. government in a variety of transformational efforts.
Prior to his most recent position, Shane was responsible for all work performed for the federal government. Before that, he supervised the work at several departments and agencies, including the Department of the Treasury, the Department of Veteran Affairs, the U.S. Mint, the Federal Reserve Bank, the SEC, the FDIC, and Sallie Mae.
Earlier in his Accenture career, Steve served as the global director for Accenture’s credit excellence service line, a global division within Accenture’s banking industry group focused on improving credit businesses of all kinds.
Steve holds a bachelor’s degree in math from Westminster College, and a master’s degree in business administration from Southern Methodist University .
