Darlene Darcy is the marketing and communications analyst at Attain, LLC. Prior to joining the firm, she spent the last two years as a staff reporter for the Washington Business Journal where she covered the local technology and government contracting industries, as well as the area’s venture capital community.
During her tenure at the Business Journal, Darcy’s reporting was featured on national media outlets, including CNBC.com and MSNBC.com. She also has been published in numerous newspapers, including the Cape Cod Times, Worcester Business Journal, and various American City Business Journal newspapers.
Darcy has served as a panelist for several “meet the press” events and as a moderator for industry events, such as the NVTC Emerging Business and Entrepreneur Committee’s Surviving an Economic Downturn and Changing Government Priorities event. She has been interviewed as a guest on several segments of ABC News Channel 8’s Washington Business Tonight hosted by Rebecca Cooper.
Darcy has interviewed countless local CEOs and many other technology and government industry leaders, including the national Chief Information Officer Vivek Kundra; Facebook co-founder Chris Hughes; former venture capitalist Jonathan Silver, who now heads the Department of Energy loan program; and Internet pioneer William Schrader.
Darcy formerly worked in marketing and advertising sales for Comcast Spotlight and as an analyst for economic consulting firm Commonwealth Research Group in Brookline, Ma.
Darcy holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Boston College’s Wallace E. Carroll School of Business and completed a year of study at the London School of Economics. She earned her master’s degree in business and economics journalism from Boston University.
