Bud Langston serves as vice president of Oracle’s North American Public Sector. In his role, he manages major public sector strategic accounts across federal, state, local and provincial government and tribal markets for America and Canada.
After serving in the U.S. Navy for more than three decades, Langston retired as rear admiral and joined Oracle in 1999. During his career as a naval aviator, he flew more than 300 combat missions in Vietnam, the Persian Gulf and Iraq. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross three times, and received more than 20 Air Medals for his achievements in combat.
Langston previously served at the pentagon as director of the Navy staff and Chief Information office. In that capacity, he oversaw the Navy’s IT infrastructure and led numerous business process re-engineering efforts as part of the Navy’s Revolution in Military Affairs.
He serves as director on the boards of AFCEA International and Constitution Museum, and the advisory board of Cambridge Technology Enterprises, and Premier Systems LTD. He is also a member of Homeland Security and Defense Business Council.
Langston earned his bachelor’s degree in public administration from San Diego State University, and he did graduate work at the Royal Air Force Senior Staff College in England and the Naval Postgraduate School in California.
