Ron Jones is a member of the board of directors of Global Defense Technology & Systems, Inc. (GTEC) and Executive Vice President, Corporate Strategy & Development. He is responsible for the growth, development and success of GTEC’s technology companies in the United States and the leveraging of key security and defense technologies. He identified, developed, and led an international team to close the acquisition of SFA, Inc. in 2007 by GTEC’s former parent company, Global Strategies Group.
Prior to GTEC, Jones was senior vice president of strategy and corporate development and a member of the board of directors for Gray Hawk Systems, Inc. He helped build and transform Gray Hawk as a national security technology company, until he initiated, led, developed and closed the strategic sale of Gray Hawk Systems to ManTech.
Before Gray Hawk Systems, Jones was senior vice president of corporate strategy and development for Veridian. He was the chief architect behind Veridian’s growth strategy and the leader and driver behind the Veridian mergers and acquisitions program.
Jones holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy and an MBA from Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania. Jones has also served as a commissioned officer in the United States Marine Corps.
