Greg Boehmer serves as director of business development at Apptis. He joined the company in 2010 and his primary focus is new business growth within the Department of State and USAID sectors.
Boehmer’s professional experience spans over more than 35 years in the IT and consulting arena focusing on government and commercial industries.
Before joining Apptis, Boehmer served as vice president of federal sales at Keane, Inc., where he managed civilian and military sales. From 2001 to 2008, he was a managing consultant at PA Consulting Group and led engagements with DoD clients involving the application system dynamics modeling to counter-insurgency and global stabilization operations.
Boehmer also led engagements involving research and analysis in diverse areas, including the application of NCO technology and concepts during U.S./U.K. coalition operations in Iraq, various U.K. military-led counterinsurgency operations, and the Singapore government’s handling of the SARS crisis. Additionally, he has led engagements directly for the UK Ministry of Defence and Singapore Ministry of Defence.
Prior to PA, Boehmer held various leadership positions including managing director of Sapient’s Public Sector practice. Prior to this, he spent 25 years with EDS Corporation, the last 15 of which he spent working mostly with DoD clients. He held various senior leadership positions, including deputy director of EDS’ DoD DEERS program and vice president of military sales.
Early on in his career with EDS, Boehmer spent nine years with EDS’ international division working on and leading systems development engagements and assessments in Europe and the Middle East, including the Netherlands, Iran and Pakistan.
Before his tenure at EDS, Boehmer was a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army. He has served on the board of directors for HealthWatch Technologies. He was a member of the EDS/GM Computer Aided Logistics Support Steering Group. He is an active member of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association.
Boehmer has a bachelor’s degree in political science from Gonzaga University and a master’s degree in political Science from Georgetown University.
