John Watters is chairman and chief executive officer of iSIGHT Partners, Inc. As such, he leads the global risk management and mitigation firm’s day-to-day business operations.
Before forming iSIGHT Partners in 2006, Watters was chairman and CEO of iDEFENSE and led the company until it was acquired by VeriSign in 2005. Watters led the investment group that acquired iDEFENSE in May 2002, and ran the company through the VeriSign acquisition.
Before this, Watters formed Dorset Capital Corporation, which handled public and private investments for a select group of successful entrepreneurs. During this time, he served on more than 20 corporate boards of directors as he mentored management teams and managed the investment portfolio of EFO & Dorset Capital.
Prior, he was founder, chairman and CEO of EFO Holdings, Inc. Under Watters’ direction, EFO’s assets under management grew by more than $150M from late 1994 until he sold EFO Holdings in 1998.
Earlier, Watters was vice president at Bankers Trust Corporation in New York City.
Watters graduated from Santa Clara University and attended the London School of Economics.
