Lee Cooper is vice president of business development for Raytheon Technical Services Company. As such, he leads the company’s growth and business development strategies and is responsible for developing and implementing long-range strategic plans, identifying and obtaining programs with new and existing customers and strengthening strategic partnerships.
In an interview with ExecutiveBiz, Cooper described his leadership objectives as customer focused. He said, “We spend a lot of time making sure we understand the customer’s requirements and then working with a solution architect and the engineering team, our partners and our technology providers to make sure we don’t over-engineer the solution but rather meet the customer’s requirements in the most cost-effective way possible.”
Before joining Raytheon, Cooper was with the Titan Group of L-3 Communications. In this capacity, he served as senior vice president of business development. He was responsible for business development and business intelligence analysts in the identification, qualification and capture of new services and solutions business.
Earlier in his career, he was the vice president and general manager of business development for Unisys U.S. Federal Government Group.
Cooper joined Unisys after a 20-year-career in the U.S. Air Force.
He earned his B.S. in Mathematics from Oklahoma State University and a M.S. degree in Systems Management from the Air Force Institute of Technology.
