ManTech International Corporation has been ranked by Washington Business Journal as one the largest employers in the Washington, D.C., metro area.
The annual listing ranks 50 nonfederal and public sector companies based on the number of employees in the metro area. ManTech currently has approximately 3,600 employees in the D.C. metro area and more than 9,100 employees across the world.
With plans to open a new location in Aberdeen, Md., in March 2011, ManTech will bring 300 to 500 jobs to the area during the next three years in addition to organic growth that will be fueled by filling current open positions in the metro area.
“ManTech’s strong presence in the D.C. metro enables us to best serve our numerous customers within the federal government and military organizations,” said ManTech Chairman and Chief Executive Officer George J. Pedersen. “Since becoming a publicly traded company in 2002, ManTech has grown significantly, not only in number of employees, but also as a trusted provider of technological solutions essential for keeping our nation safe. We are pleased to be among the today’s largest employers in the area and expect to welcome new employees as ManTech continues to expand.”
ManTech was recently named to FORTUNE magazine’s 2010 “100 Fastest-Growing Companies” list, and was also recognized as a “Best Employer for Vets” from Military Times Edge for its hiring of military veterans.
