SAIC’s Walt Havenstein to be Honored as Tech Leader

SAIC CEO Walt Havenstein will be honored at the Thirteenth Annual Technology “Good Scout” Award Luncheon at the Hilton McLean Tyson’s Corner, Va., with DynCorp President and CEO Steve Gaffney serving as event chairman and master of ceremonies.

Held Oct. 19, the “Good Scout” Award honors a technology leader in Greater Washington who exemplifies the ideals of scouting in his or her daily life. Havenstein’s contributions began at BAE Systems and are continuing since his move to SAIC a year ago.

Past honorees include Dr. Bahman Atefi, Alion Science and Technology; T. Wood Parker, Northrop Grumman, Information Technology; Dr. J. P. “Jack” London, CACI; and Michael J. Saylor,  MicroStrategy.

All proceeds support the character-building programs of the National Capital Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
