Joe Punaro is a founding partner of BluestoneLogic, where he provides technical advisory and consulting services to firms focusing on providing products and services to the federal government.
He served as director of Federal Client Solutions for Dynology Corporation, where his duties involved providing program management and technical advice and leading new business development efforts for the company. He also was responsible for fielding teams and leading projects that reported to the highest levels of the federal government.
As director of Federal Client Solutions, Punaro managed several contracts across the federal government. His clients included legislative affairs offices for the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, National Guard, and Coast Guard, and the United States European Command, Joint Forces Command, Northern Command, Defense Intelligence Agency and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Punaro also was responsible for business development activities.
Punaro’s military background entails serving as a U.S. Marine Corps officer based in San Diego, Calif. He served as a company and platoon commander during his service as a Marine. Punaro was a platoon commander during Operation Iraqi Freedom, and took part in the assault on Baghdad in April 2003.
Before his service in the Marine Corps, Punaro was at SAIC, the Office of Senator John Warner of Virginia, and the United States Securities and Exchange Commission.
He graduated from James Madison University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing Information Systems and Finance. Currently, Punaro is working toward a master’s degree in government from Johns Hopkins University.
