Lockheed Martin will partner with Danish consulting company COWI to help governments reduce waste in energy and water use, the companies announced.
The U.S. Department of Energy has already hired Lockheed Martin under its Energy Savings Performance Contracts program to make government agencies more efficient worldwide. Some of the agencies under evaluation include the Department of Defense and the State Department.
The two companies are aiming to audit agencies for the U.S. Federal Energy Management Program, which assists federal agencies in identifying alternative financing options to implement environmentally friendly, efficiency measures.
Lockheed Martin Continental Europe President Scott Harris commented about the partnership: “We look forward to combining our complementary expertise to support government sustainability goals around the globe, while at the same time creating long-term value for both of our companies.”
