Cyber expert Melissa Hathaway will be delivering remarks at the Nov. 12 American National Standards Institute Caucus Luncheon held in Washington, D.C.

Hathaway serves as president of Hathaway Global Strategies, LLC, and as senior adviser at Harvard Kennedy School’s Belfer Center. She previously was the senior director for cyberspace at the National Security Council under the Obama administration, and served as cyber coordination executive and director of the Joint Interagency Cyber Task Force in the Office of the Director of National Intelligence during President George W. Bush’s administration.

Hathaway also spearheaded President Obama’s 60-Day Cyberspace Policy Review, gathering experienced government cyber experts to inventory relevant presidential policy directives, executive orders, national strategies, and studies from government advisory boards and private-sector entities.

The caucus will be held from 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.

Hathaway last year wrote a white paper for The New New Internet on the five myths of cybersecurity, which can be downloaded here.
