Global Defense Technology & Systems, Inc. announced it had entered into a definitive agreement with Signature Consultants, L.L.C. to acquire its subsidiary, Signature Government Solutions, LLC for $52.5 million.
SGS provides IT, cybersecurity and intelligence analysis services in support of high-priority mission systems and cybersecurity programs within the Intelligence Community.
The deal is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2010, and the earnings are expected to immediately be accrued GTEC’s diluted earnings per share.
John Hillen, GTEC’s president and CEO, said SGS’s past performance in information systems architecture, cybersecurity and network engineering reinforced GTEC’s ambition to be the leading mid-sized defense technology company.
“The addition of SGS into GTEC’s portfolio immediately adds new depth to our capabilities and customer footprint within the U.S. Intelligence Community,” he said.
