Harris to Provide IT Infrastructure for US Army Materiel Command HQ

Harris Corporation has been awarded a $77 million contract by the National Capital Region Contracting Center to provide IT infrastructure for the U.S. Army Materiel Command Headquarters building at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Ala.

Under the AMC contract, Harris will engineer, furnish, install and test the command, control, communications, and computer IT infrastructure, which includes audio-visual and video teleconferencing equipment. The contract has one base year and two one-year option periods.

“This award further extends our company’s growing reputation in the marketplace for delivering complex, mission-critical systems integration solutions,” said Mike Deloney, vice president and general manager of Department of Defense Programs, Harris IT Services. “We are proud to continue our support to the Army operational commands through this headquarters relocation.”

The Harris team includes subcontractors General Dynamics IT, AVS, ASD, By Light Professional IT Services, Microtech, IBM and nLogic.
