Sherry Rhodes, vice president and general counsel of Noblis, has received a business ethics award from the National Capital Chapter of Financial Service Professionals.
Rhodes received the award in the large business category. Helios won the award for medium-sized companies, Sparks Personnel Services won for small businesses and New Signature won for the micro category. Honorees accepted their awards at a gala with an audience of more than 220.
”We had more than 100 nominees this year, an increase showing that companies are taking ethical behavior more seriously,” said event co-chair Jeff Hamblen. “In all the conversations I’ve had about this, the theme is that companies are doing this not so much because they have to comply with regulations but because they find that it is more beneficial and lucrative to work in an environment where ethical behavior is the norm.”
Next year’s nominations can be submitted online and are due by Jan. 8, 2011.
