CSC has released its annual corporate responsibility report, which measures the company’s progress on sustainable measures in the business world and local community.
The company measures its progress in five areas: clients and partners, employees, community, governance and the environment. CSC has been recognized for its achievements by the FTSE4Good Index and Fortune magazine, who deemed it one of the top five admired IT companies globally.
CSC employees across the world volunteer their time in a number of initiatives. In Washington, D.C., CSC had the largest team at the 2010 National Walk for Epilepsy on the Mall in raising $4,000 at the event.
“Achieving the right balance between business and sustainability requires us to think about how we support our clients, treat our employees, engage in our communities and impact our environment,” said CSC Chairman, President and CEO Michael Laphen. “Our progress this year was a direct result of our dedicated employees investing their time and efforts, focused companywide environmental and sustainability initiatives, and valuable client collaborations that resulted in innovative offerings.”
