Anonymous has declared it will go after those who are currently responsible for detaining Bradley Manning, and in a crowd-sourced document the collective identifies Defense Department Press Secretary Geoff Morell and Quantico’s Chief Warrant Officer Denise Barnes as targets and calls on members to uncover personal information on both, Forbes’ Firewall blog reported.
Calling their attack “Operation Bradical,” members of the online gathering have set out to “dox” the two officials–the method of posting victim’s personal information. One member of the group told Forbes’ Andy Greenberg doxing will also likely include “ruin life tactics” such as “ordering them pizza, sending them thousands of boxes, reporting them to police for drug abuse, sex offenders list, tricking their ISPs into canceling the Internet, messing with their social security numbers, false flag, fax harassment, phone harassment, email bombing, subscriptions to magazines, diapers, tampons.”
The group also lists demands as follows, according to Forbes:
“Manning must be given sheets, blankets, any religious texts he desires, adequate reading material, clothes, and a ball. One week. Otherwise, we continue to dox and ruin those responsible for keeeping [sic] him naked, without bedding, without any of the basic amenities that were provided even to captured Nazis in WWII.”
Liberal author Barrett Brown, whom Forbes identified as a spokesman for Anonymous, told the Tech Herald harassing Quantico officials will be only the opening shots in a media war against those responsible for holding Manning.
