With cloud being all the rage, Deloitte has announced it is expanding its cloud-computing services to offer companies improved and broader set of capabilities, including business model development, solution delivery and talent management.
Paul Clemmons, a principal with Deloitte Consulting LLP, recently took the reins of the organization’s cloud-computing services
“Cloud computing impacts business strategy, technology architecture, and sourcing and services delivery for our clients across industries,” said Janet Foutty, national managing director of technology, Deloitte Consulting LLP. “It also enables new capabilities such as mobility, social networking and business analytics. Paul’s experience in practice building and leadership will help sharpen our focus on this important market.”
The practice boosts Deloitte’s capabilities in the planning, design and implementation of cloud adoption services for cloud service subscribers. Additionally, Deloitte’s cloud-computing services can help clients in their efforts to scale new and existing SaaS delivery capabilities, create PaaS custom development and deployment capability, and address cloud-centric data and integration.
With cloud computing, companies have elastic, scalable and flexible IT capabilities using on-demand provisioning and pay-as-you-go services–all of which enable innovation in business models, speed-to-market and cost efficiencies, Clemmons said.
“Deloitte is well-positioned to help companies with cloud computing adoption and implementation given our global consulting, enterprise risk, tax and other services,” he added. “I look forward to driving Deloitte’s efforts with clients, vendors and analysts focusing on how to capitalize on cloud computing’s potential to impact business models.”
