Jim Palmer, corporate vice president and chief financial officer of global security provider Northrop Grumman Corporation, will make a presentation at the Deutsche Bank Global Industrials and Basic Materials Conference in Chicago on June 14, 2011. Palmer’s presentation will begin 3:40 p.m. CT and webcast live at www.northropgrumman.com.
Palmer is responsible for the company’s overall business management function and activities including the controller, pricing and supply chain and financial planning. In addition to providing leadership to the business management organizations within the operating sectors of the company, he also serves as a member of the company’s corporate policy council.
Prior to joining Northrop Grumman, Palmer served as executive vice president and chief financial officer for Visteon Corporation, which he joined in 2004. Other previous positions include serving as president of Boeing Capital Corporation and Boeing Shared Services, senior vice president and chief financial officer of the McDonnell Douglas Corporation, and partner at Ernst & Young.
Palmer earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Southeast Missouri State University and is a certified public accountant and a member of the Financial Executive Institute.
