Science Applications International Corporation has signed a new lease to occupy 1,500 square feet of office space at Building 131 in Rock Island, Ill., an attempt for the Fortune 500 applications company to build on its regional presence in addition to recruiting new customers in the Quad Cities area.
A grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony was held this morning at the new space and included speakers such as SAIC’s Defense Solutions Group President Deb Alderson and RIA Task Force Chair Jimmy Morgan.
“We are proud to expand our support to Rock Island Arsenal, which has become the center for operational logistics for the Army, and to the entire Quad Cities area,” Alderson said. “Our increased presence here will ensure that we are readily accessible to key customers, allowing for face-to-face collaboration to help them accomplish their critical missions.”
SAIC has been a strong supporter of Defense Department programs in the area for more than six years. The company hopes its new location will allow its Rock Island employees to better meet regional needs.
