Sotera Defense Solutions Acquires Software Process Technologies Inc.; CEO John Hillen Comments

Sotera Defense Solutions recently announced its acquisition of  Software Process Technologies Inc. SPT provides a range of mission-focused, specialized software engineering capabilities to support the cyber intelligence missions of its customers. The deal will expand Sotera’s engineering expertise in its cyber intelligence customer base.

“SPT is a natural fit for Sotera and the company’s addition is a key element in fulfilling our vision to become a leading mid-sized, mission-focused partner for our national security customers,” said John Hillen, Sotera’s president and chief executive officer.

Hillen added SPT doubles his firm’s presence in the Ft. Meade area and furthers its capabilities in cyber intelligence and operations. SPT has a workforce of 140 and expects to generate $35 million in 2011 revenue.
