Altegrity, Inc. announced that Sharon Rowlands has been appointed chief executive officer and will be a member of Altegrity’s Board of Director’s effective Nov. 1. Rowlands is to succeed Michael Cherkasky who will transition his duties come Dec. 31.
Rowlands has served as chief executive officer of Penton Media, Inc. since Nov. 2008. She worked for 12 years at Thomson Financial and acted as President and CEO from 2005 to 2008. She holds a bachelor of arts in History from Newcastle University and a masters of education from the University of London.

It is my goal to help create new opportunities across Altegrity’s global platform that benefit our clients, employees and investors,” said Rowlands.
Additionally, Steve Alesio, former chairman and chief executive officer of Dun & Bradstreet and Senior Advisor of Providence Equity Partners will become Chairman of the Board.
