Dr. Jim Wilson of Raytheon’s Advanced Product Center will discuss the thermal design considerations for avionics and defense electronics at the coolingZONE Business and Technology Summit, held October 5-6, 2011 at the Royal Sonesta Hotel in Cambridge, Mass.
The presentation will consider some current research in the areas of thermal design and thermal management technology, hoping to achieve more efficient thermal packaging as well as the ability to manage high heat flux levels. Challenges and opportunities for innovative research related to the avionics and defense thermal management field will also be discussed.
Dr. Wilson has been responsible for phased array radar thermal management at Raytheon, with topics ranging from thermal design at the microwave integrated circuit level and directed research for advanced thermal interface materials. He has been a popular speaker at previous coolingZONE conferences.
