Fitch brings 26 years of exerience corporate communications, mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning and business development to her new position. She most recently served as senior vice president, corporate communications, at BAE Systems, Inc., where she also served as senior vice president of mergers and acquisitions. Before joining BAE in 2000, she was the director of business development and strategic planning at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Sector, among other positions in the defense industry. She began her career as a journalist focusing on business, aerospace and defense, and technology.
“Lucy brings communication and leadership skills, a strategic orientation and a breadth of business experience that combine to make her uniquely qualified to lead SAIC’s communications,” said Debbie Lee James, executive vice president for Communications and Government Affairs.
Fitch earned her Masters in Business Administration – International from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Science in Journalism & Mass Communication from Kansas State University. She has lectured on leadership, strategy, mergers and acquisitions and communication at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business, executive leadership programs at Oxford University and the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, among others.
