Kim Rupert is SAIC’s senior vice president of contracts, procurement and pricing.
Rupert is responsible for setting policy across the functional organization to facilitate business operations and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
Rupert assumed this role in 2007 after serving in a similar role at QinetiQ North America.
Prior to that, she served as contracts director for SAIC’s intelligence, security and technology group, after moving through increasingly responsible contracts positions at the operations, business unit, and group levels over more than a dozen years.
Previously, Rupert specialized in contracts for IDEAS, which was acquired by SAIC in 1994. Prior to that, she served as general manager for Ticketron’s mid-Atlantic region, where she was responsible for, among other things, client, venue and outlet contract negotiations.
Rupert holds both a B.A. in journalism from the University of Maryland and an M.B.A. from Johns Hopkins University. She also has a master’s certificate in government contracting from George Washington University.
Rupert has numerous professional certifications from the National Contract Management Association, has served in past chapter leadership roles, and currently serves on the NCMA’s National Board of Directors and the Executive Advisory Council.
Rupert also participates in industry associations such as the Professional Services Council (PSC) and serves on the Procurement and Finance Executive Committee of the Aerospace Industries Association.
