Rich Rosenthal is chief technology officer at TASC.
Rosenthal sets TASC’s direction for technology investments, establishes thought leadership for the technology base, manages intellectual property and supports technical personnel development.
Previously, Rosenthal was manager of the company’s advanced concepts department. During that time, he worked as a program manager, systems engineer and technologist.
Rosenthal started his career at TRW Space Technology Group working on control and navigation systems for spacecraft, missile and laser systems. He later was chief system engineer for the laser segment on the airborne laser program.
Rosenthal is a Project Management Institute-certified Project Management Professional, a senior member of American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
Rosenthal holds a bachelor’s degree in aero/astro (avionics option) from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a master’s degree electrical engineering degree in signal processing, communication systems and optics from the University of Southern California.
