Booz Allen Expanding to Charlotte

Booz Allen Hamilton is beefing up an effort to extend its consulting reach further south. The company has announced the hiring of 20 managers and information technology consultants in Charlotte, N.C. and said it plans on adding 20 more.

Booz Allen is scouting office space in Charlotte and plans to hire an additional 40 employees by 2014.

Pat Peck, executive vice president and head of Booz Allen’s U.S. commercial business, says the company plans to focus on the financial-services, energy and health-care industries in Charlotte, according to BizJournal.com.

Booz Allen employs about 25,000 employees and about 97 percent of its revenue is generated from contracts with U.S. government agencies or other government contractors.
