Booz Allen Hamilton reportedly rewards exceptional employees with a fully-paid trips for two as part of the firm’s “Values in Practice” award. Employees are nominated my peers based on how well they reflect company values including client services, teamwork and fairness. Senior executives then review and make the final decision.
Melanie Pontier was a recent recipient, awarded a trip to Mexico with her husband and last year the company rewarded 168 of its 25,000 employees a paid vacation.
“We don’t sell a product, we sell people’s’ expertise,” said James Fisher, senior manager of media relations at Booz Allen, reported by the Washington Post. “Our employees are all we have, so we want to make sure we reward them.”
Recipients of the award can choose between a four-day cruise in the Bahamas and Caribbean or a round-trip, full paid trip for three days to any place in the United States, Mexico or the Caribbean.
