Specialists must have expertise in four technical areas including virtualization, clustering, provisioning and storage management, and must also be Red Hat certified engineers. Micene earned that distinction in 2005 and earned the recent honor in part for his work with open source technologies.
In his role, Micene advises customers on software in pre-implementation phases.
“With government looking for efficient solutions and ways to save money, this type of certification is a great value-add for our customers,” said Jim Propps, director of DLT’s enterprise platforms division. “It recognizes a deep understanding of the technologies that Red Hat offers and ensures that Matt can help design their optimal data center consolidation solution from the beginning.”
