Executive Spotlight: Suzan Zimmerman of QinetiQ North America

Suzan Zimmerman is senior vice president of business development at QinetiQ North America, where she oversees all military business development operations and is responsible for QinetiQ NA’s strategy for warfighter technology, advanced weapons and training systems.

Zimmerman manages Qinetiq NA’s corporate strategic direction for the Defense, Justice, Treasury, Agriculture and Transportation departments, the U.S. Customs Service and other customers.

Prior to joining QinetiQ, Zimmerman served as a senior vice president at SAIC Inc., where she developed international and domestic business strategies.

At SAIC, Zimmerman focused on building up that company’s most advanced software development, systems integration and telecommunications capabilities.

Prior to joining SAIC, Zimmerman marketed large systems to the Pentagon and other national accounts as a specialist at IBM. Accounts included General Electric’s space division and the District of Columbia government.

Zimmerman has been a member of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association for more than 10 years.
