Norton by Symantec has released the public beta version 6.0 of its all-in-one security suite Norton 360. The beta is available for free download from the Norton beta website. The release includes core security technology found in Norton Internet Security 2012, in addition to enhanced PC tuneup and backup capabilities.
The 6.0 version includes Norton Identity Safe in the Cloud, designed to protect personal and financial information from cybercriminals. It includes new streamlined interface, simplified login experience and the ability to store passwords in the cloud making accessibility easy from any computer with the 6.0 beta installed.
Additionally, this version offers Norton Management, a web-based functionality allowing users to manage their Norton products from anywhere. Users can remotely add Norton products, manage security settings and update subscriptions, making it simple to check on the health of their devices or fix issues remotely.
The release also includes the Download Insight Stability Ratings feature enabling users to check every downloaded file for safety before installation. This gives users data about the predicted stability of the application in their environment based other users’ experiences.
