Andy Peters, Parsons Vice President of Safety, Health and Enviornment, was re-elected for a second term as chairman of the National Construction Safety Executives (NCSE). Peters’ selection is the first time in the NCSE’s 25-year history that a chairman has been chosen for re-election.
“[The selection] is not only a testament to Andy’s leadership skills and professional expertise but to Parsons’ continued commitment to safety as one of its six core values,” said Chuck Harrington, Parsons’ Chairman and CEO.
The NCSE was founded in 1986 to provide an organized forum for construction safety professionals to share knowledge for the the betterment of the industry. NCSE registered companies employ more than 250,000 people.
Peters was hired by Parsons in 2003 and has more than 35 years of experience in safety management, loss prevention, and human resources from the mining, heavy construction, and construction equipment industries.
“Under Andy’s leadership, Parsons has experienced numerous safety achievements, including being one of only nine firms in the United States to be accepted into OSHA’s Voluntary Protection Program,” Harrington stated.
