Scott Miller is the general manager of Microsoft Corporation’s U.S. Public Sector National Security Group and U.S. Cyber Security Group. The primary focus of this group is to lead customers in the adoption and deployment of Microsoft solutions in the most secure method possible while providing advisory services to both public and private sectors.
Miller first joined Microsoft in October of 2000 as a senior consultant working within the federal services business, including both civilian and national security accounts. He was responsible for directory services deployment within the State Department, National Reconnaissance Office, Defense Intelligence Agency and other agencies as well. In 2005, he was made practice manager of the intelligence community business.
Before joining the Microsoft team, Miller served for six years in the communications field for the U.S. Air Force. He also acted as systems engineer for E-Systems and became a networking engineer after the company was acquired by Raytheon. Miller managed Raytheon’s IT environmet for government customers and provided consulting services to external customers as well.
