Accenture’s American Indian Scholarship Fund has recently provided scholarships to eight American Indian students from across the U.S. through its citizen initiative Skills to Succeed. The Accenture American Indian Scholarship Fund helps support highest-achieving American Indian and Alaska Native students who are pursuing degrees and careers in technology and business.
“Grants from the Accenture American Indian Scholarship fund are awarded to American Indian and Alaska Native scholars who want to pursue a higher education and are in need of some assistance to help them achieve their goals,” said Randy Willis, senior executive sponsor of Accenture’s American Indian employee interest group and a member of the Oglala Lakota Tribe.
The criteria for scholarships include academic excellence, leadership ability, a commitment to American Indian culture and community and proof of enrollment in a federally recognized American Indian/Alaskan Native tribe. The scholarships will enable students to continue their undergraduate and graduate education.
