Day & Zimmermann’s engineering, construction and maintenance group recently made two key appointments within its DZ Atlantic business. The company appointed Guy Starr president of DZ Atlantic and Ross McConnell as senior vice president of nuclear operations.
“The appointment of these experienced industry leaders will ensure that DZ Atlantic is well positioned to achieve our vision to become the leading project delivery and maintenance contractor in the power, process and industrial markets,” said Michael McMahon, president of Day & Zimmermann’s Engineering Construction and Maintenance group.
Starr has 30 years of management and operations experience. Previously the president of DZ Engineering and DZ Construction, Starr will now be responsible for all open shop construction and plant maintenance work in nuclear, fossil and process, as well as industrial markets. He will provide oversight of the company’s suite of specialty services.
In McConnell’s new role, he will be responsible for all of the unit’s work in the nuclear power market. He was previously DZ Atlantic’s vice president of staffing, valve, plant and radiological services.
