Tom Romeo is the president of MAXIMUS‘ federal services division. In his position, he is responsible for operations and strategic expansion of the division.
Romeo has extensive experience in government contracting and information technology. He has delivered large projects to agencies such as the Census Bureau, the Commerce Department and the U.S. Postal Service.
He has managed teams both nationally and internationally focusing in areas, which include consulting, insurance, health, the building industry, software deployment and managing public sector projects.
Romeo’s previous management and work experience includes overseeing a project that included a 200 member team responsible for implementing on-going management and support of an Oracle general ledger system.
His most recent position before joining MAXIMUS’ team was as vice president for IBM federal general government, education, healthcare, NASA and social services. Romeo was a part of IBM’s team for 25 years, also serving for IBM’s global business services.
Romeo has also been a part of Accenture‘s executive team as a senior executive for government health and human services. He has acted as partner in Accenture’s federal healthcare business as well.
He earned his bachelor’s in accounting from the State University of New York, where he also earned his associate of applied science business administration degree. He also holds a master’s in management information systems from the University of Maryland.
