DRS to Provide Logistics Support for Navy E-6 Fleet

DRS Technologies Inc. has received a one-year option to provide logistical support for the Navy’s E-6B fleet, the company announced Tuesday.

DRS said the option is potentially worth $48.4 million. DRS said it will manage government-owned inventory and provide material support for E-6B aircraft.

The E-6 is an airborne command post and communications relay based on Boeing‘s 707 jet. DRS said it will also provide residual spares for other 707-deriviative programs, including the C-18 and VC-137.

DRS said work will be performed mainly at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma.
