Harris Receives Pentagon Order for Falcon Radios

Harris Corp. received orders from the Defense Department for Falcon III AN/PRC-152A handheld and AN/PRC-117G manpack tactical radios, Harris announced Monday.

According to Harris, the radios will support wideband networking for situational awareness and command and control.

“This order provides the DOD with field-proven radios that will deliver mission-critical voice, video and data from the networked battlefield to its warfighters operating at the edge,” said George Helm, president, of Harris RF Communications’ Defense Department business.

Harris said both radios have the National Security Agency‘s type 1 certification for use in securing classified information.
