URS Subcontracted for Social Security Tech Support; Randall Wotring Comments

URS Corp. has won a task order to provide technical support services to the Social Security Administration, URS announced Thursday.

URS said it received the order as the primary subcontractor to Evolver Inc. under a seven-year contract. URS said it will maintain the SSA’s information technology help-desk environment, web tools and local area network. URS will also provide mainframe support.

URS will perform the work at the SSA’s headquarters in Baltimore headquarters and at SSA offices based in Washington.

Randall Wotring, president of federal services for URS, said the company will provide tools and information to 67,000 SSA members.
