Avascent announced that Tapp will focus on helping its clients adopt effective strategies to win and retain business. Tapp noted this is essential in today’s market as firms adjust to shifting budgets and demands.
Tapp previously headed strategy for Northrop’s corporate government relations organization as VP of strategy and integration. He also served as business development VP for the company’s integrated systems and aerostructures sector.
Avescent said Tapp also spent time as an Air Force liaison officer to the U.S. Senate.
Tapp took on his corporate development role at Northrop in 2007 and Avascent credits him with developing better acquisition processes and tools to accrue new business.
Northrop recently received recognition for an air traffic control situational awareness product.
