Accenture will help the District of Colombia meet federal health insurance exchange deadlines and requirements, the company announced Thursday.
D.C.’s Healthcare Reform Implementation Committee is in charge of planning and system requirements for changing the Medicaid eligibility process, creating new self-service tools and creating a health benefits exchange.
The company delivered blueprint and system requirements to the city’s Department of Health Care Finance after the DC IT Requirements vendor selected the company during a competitive bid process.
An integration vendor will support design, build, test and deploy the system upon selection.
The city will also acquire a new integrated eligibility system and deploy it for later releases.
