CGI, Alion Subsidiary To Help Develop DOL Content Management System

Alion Science and Technology’s Washington Consulting Inc. subsidiary and CGI Federal will develop a content management solution on cloud computing-based platforms for the Labor Department.

CGI selected WCI as a prime subcontractor for the project, Alion announced Monday.

WCI will lead the case and content system integration efforts, with the goal of automating the department’s paper-intensive processes such as case management, document management, records management, workflow management and business intelligence.

The federal contract compliance system will work to update the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs’ existing systems.

Once complete, it will be the first content management system deployed on the General Service Administration’s recently-approved cloud system.
