Lockheed Completes Canada Super Hercules Order; George Schultz Comments

Lockheed Martin Corp. has delivered the final CC-130J Super Hercules aircraft to the Canadian air force, the company announced Tuesday.

The announcement marks the 17th Super Hercules that the company has delivered to Canada since the country placed its initial order in December 2007.

Deliveries of the new Super Hercules started in 2010 and the company included included new engines and a new flight deck, among other updates.

The company will continue to build and expand its relationships with industry partners in Canada, said George Schultz, vice president and general manager of C-130 programs.

Canadian industry has received more than $350 million in industrial and regional benefits as a result of the country’s purchase of the C-130 and related support, according to Lockheed.
