Patrick O’Connell is president for major government programs at CH2M Hill, where the company says he helped lead it into the major government program management sector.
He has led more than 20 major programs in the information technology, health, telecommunications, aerospace, defense, NATO and pension sectors in the U.S., U.K. and European markets, according to the company.
Before joining CH2M, he served as president of British Telecom‘s major programs division, where the company says he turned around $15 billion in contracts in the defense, health and pension sectors. Prior to that, he served as chairman and CEO of Air Command Systems International between 1999 and 2005. There, he started a multi-national joint venture based in Paris and helped NATO deliver an air command and control program across 15 nations.
According to CH2M, he has taught graduate classes in managing large scale systems at multiple universities. He currently serves as chairman of the board and practitioner director for major program management at Oxford University’s Said Business School.
