Michael Freeman is CEO at Project Performance Corp., the North American subsidiary of international energy and environment consulting firm AEA.
The 25-year federal market veteran works with senior PPC management to lead and execute the company’s business strategy, with the goal of maintaining growth and staying in front of the information technology market. According to the company, he has led the delivery of consulting, services and software development to intelligence, defense and civilian agencies.
Prior to joining PPC, he served as CEO of Luciad Inc. and helped establish the company’s U.S. presence, specifically the visualization field. The company developed and sold geographical, informational and analytical visualization software for the intelligence, defense and civilian agencies.
He also has led Hewlett-Packard‘s Washington-based federal consulting and integration practice, where he helped to provide intelligence and defense customers with IT integration, consulting and software application support. Before joining HP, he served as chief technology officer at a Northrop Grumman business unit focusing on the departments of Homeland Security, State and Transportation. Within DOT, the unit supported the Federal Aviation Administration.
He holds a master’s degree in technology management from the University of Maryland and a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of LaVerne in California. He also a graduated from Darden’s executive leadership training program and Wharton’s Executive and Business and Finance series.
