The company said she becomes the tenth director and will also join the company’s audit committee.
Her term will expire at the company’s general shareholders meeting in summer 2014.
The nearly three-decade finance and accounting veteran will offer experience and guidance as the company builds its commercial finance practice, said Chairman, CEO and President Ralph Shrader.
She most recently served as executive vice president for finance at American Express, where she held several senior positions from 2003 to 2011, including comptroller.
Prior to that, she spent nearly 14 years at General Electric and served as chief operating officer and chief financial officer of GE’s capital markets unit.
